PLEASE DADDY!!!

Diana is pleading with her Daddy to let her ride a horse. Do you think he gave in??

RIDING HORSES...

We went to Maplefest at Camp Minikani on Sunday. After enjoying a pancake breakfast we walked down to see the horses and ended up going for a ride (the kids anyway). They were both excited and got right on. We weren't going to let Diana ride at first but after she shed a few tears we decided to let her give it a try.

DINNER WITH TASHA, SHIRLEY & MICHELE

We went out to eat with Miss Tasha and family over the weekend. We hadn't seen them since Diana's b-day party and were really missing them. Yes, I embarrassed everyone and took a picture in the restaurant. We love you ladies!! Davis & Diana have been talking about eating with you all week. They love you like family - so do we! I also included some old pictures of Davis with his favorite ladies at church. Davis is 7 months old in these pictures - where does the time go?

THE LAYLA GRACE BEANIE

We received our "Layla Grace" fundraiser beanie last week. Miss Diana promptly put on her princess dress and then modeled her beanie as well. The mom who makes the beanie raised over $4,000 in one week to help Layla's family with her medical bills. Diana has lots of headbands/beanies but this one is pretty special...

This is a cell phone pic. I love Diana's expression. It is her "true" smile.

THE TWO LITTLE BUDDIES...

Race car drivers...

Scientists ( I was informed that they had "secret gredients" - I believe the secret ingredients were water and hand soap)

Robots...(Davis is in his nap-time pull-up - don't worry Grammy he's still a big boy)

Artists...

Supporters..... (Davis is always telling Diana "you can do it")

FLOWER PROJECT

The kids were so proud of these flowers they made to hang in the window. I wanted to make more but it took over an hour to make these three since Mommy was patient and let them do all the cutting and taping on their own. They have been hanging up for over a week and Davis has informed me that he is sure they are growing bigger everyday.

WATERFALL PARK

Michelle and I took the kids to a playground with a small waterfall nearby. They peacefully sat and watched the water for awhile - I was shocked Davis didn't try to jump in. He actually lectured the girls on not falling in and made sure they sat down. Can I note that Michelle is such a great Mom? I love the picture of her sitting with the kids. Michelle works 12 hours shifts as an RN on the weekends and one day per week so she can spend the other 4 days of the week with Brooklyn - can you say hard working Mommy??

If you are wondering why Davis is holding toothbrushes in this photo - let me explain before you get disgusted. They are not toothbrushes - they are drumsticks. These toothbrushes were turned into drumsticks before the kids even got to use them. Davis takes them EVERYWHERE - the world is his drum. I do get odd looks when we go somewhere with the toothbrushes but hey whatever works. Maybe the Easter Bunny should bring some real drumsticks that Davis can't break.

I'm waiting for the day he breaks a bone. I suppose he is old enough to do this on his own but it really makes me nervous. I've learned to just let him go.

If he can do it, I can do it!!

Little Miss Brooklyn - always cute and stylish. I told her she looked French.

MY LITTLE MAN

Davis needed to check my tires before we left the park. He is really becoming a little man. He can be quite bossy with Diana but usually in a protective manner. He checked all four tires and then told me "Mommy, it's safe, let's go!" Later in the week Davis actually went to the "car place" with my Dad to have our tire looked at and turns out there was a nail in one of the back tires. It must have happened AFTER Davis inspected them - there's no way he would have missed that (LOL)

PICTURES FROM THE PARK...

"Mountain we've missed you!"
Diana - Daddy & Marques both loved your great form in this photo. Marques says you will be going to the Olympics someday...

Just love this picture of Davis - this is his sweet face. He will occasionally give me a sweet look but lately it's rare - he's all boy and always on the go...

SIGNS OF SPRING

I'm sure I'm not the only one that enjoyed the nice weather last week. I was excited to take my camera outside when it wasn't freezing. The soccer league across from our house started last week and the kid's love watching them play from the deck.

Amazing how kids appreciate the smallest things like watching birds land on our deck and seeing this duck at the park. We are all glad winter is over. Outdoor time equals = sanity for Mommy!!

ST. PATRICK'S POST PARADE PARTY...

Our neighbor Al plays for a soccer team sponsored by the Shamrock Club so he volunteers to help organize this event. Michael volunteered and spent part of the day working security at the back door and the other part putting corn-beef sandwiches together in concessions. Good job Michael! D& D thought Daddy was so cool (LOL). According to my grandmother my children are 1/32 Irish - had to add that for her sake as it comes from her side of the family.

Watching the Irish guy sing...

In awe of the different music...
Snack time - this sitting nicely lasted for about 60 seconds....
Listening to Leprachaun stories with Laila and Makai. The woman telling stories was all dressed up and was named Eileen O'Rourke...
Al, Michael and the girls....

JUST ANOTHER DAY...

AT GENERATIONS AT PLAY!! We have so much fun when we go here.

Playing so nicely together....

Davis and a boy named Noah that he met. They were pretending they were at school. Noah was 4 so Davis thought he was soooo big and smart.

MISS SERIOUS....

DINNER AT CHERI AND JOHN'S

Cheri and John were kind enough to invite us over for dinner and send us home with tons of left-overs. The kids were full of energy and enjoyed playing with Cheri, Jordan, and DeDe. I love the facial expressions in these photos. Thanks so much Cheri - the food was fabulous!! I'm sure Annie was smiling down and laughing at all of us.
