COOKIE HOUSE 2010 - 12/18/10

Camp Minikani hosts a Cookie House each year before Christmas. We had a fun morning decorating our gingerbread house and visiting with Santa.
"There's Santa!!!"
Diana and Davis showing some Santa love..
Loving the kids faces in this photo...
Santa reading a story...

MORE COOKIE HOUSE PHOTOS....

Diana's face watching Santa read books was priceless..
Helping Daddy decorate..
Davis met a boy name Grant from his school. Grant was very creative and helpful - so glad we ran into him.
The final masterpiece - not bad considering our assistants were 4 and 2!
Telling Frosty goodbye before we went home - Diana is madly in love with Frosty. She has been singing the Frosty song for months now even after Christmas was long over.

OUR WINTER PHOTO SHOOT....12/17/10

I took the kids outside to get some "winter" photos for our Christmas card. I had about 3 minutes to snap some pictures before they ran off to play. They didn't turn out too bad considering my subjects...

Diana was sure there was a fairy living in this tree so Davis was trying to find it for her...
Ok Mom we're done, see you later...
And finally, a behind-the-scenes shot. Davis - "Diana don't hug me!" Diana - "But Davis I love you broder!"

HOLID@Y SING....12/16/10

It's surreal to watch your first-born participate in something like this. It was so fun and Diana was so proud of her big brother. Next year, she will be up there with him as well.

All of these students are aged 3 - 6. They were so well-behaved. The music teacher said they have been working on concert etiquette since school started...
Davis showing his friend where his parents were sitting....
Davis and his buddy to his right with their ties on. You can tell Davis put his on himself and his buddy decided his tie would look better pulled out of his sweater.

Diana was so focused on Davis. She was so happy for him.

DATE WITH MOMMY...12/15/10

Davis and I went on a mother/son lunch date. His choice of venue - Pizza Hut.

DIANA THE SLEEPING GIANT...12/13/10

Miss Diana loves to dance, sing, climb, play with her baby dolls, clean, wash her hands countless times, and tackle her brother when he's not expecting it. I have asked her many times if she would like to practice writing letters and she hasn't been interested so we just do other activities that she does enjoy. To my surprise, she sat down while Davis was at school one morning and just started writing away. Daddy calls her "our sleeping giant!" She always surprises us with something new that she is good at.

DAVIS - NOT A PACKER FAN?

Davis was so proud to wear his Dahl jersey to school....The next day he was also proud to wear his Bear's jersey to school...
Why is this child not a Packer fan? It is all his father's fault! Thanks to Craig and Crystal for the great jerseys!

I THOUGHT....12/12/10

I was missing some items from my kitchen...

SLEDDING WITH DADDY...12/11/10

THE GRINCH...12/10/10

This was a favorite book over the holiday season. Crystal gave the kids another copy for Christmas so they now both have their own. The first time we read this Diana said "throw that book away!" The thought of the Grinch taking all the presents had her very upset; however, once we read it a few times she got the message and thought it was a good book. Davis showing me that the grinch has a small heart...
Explaining to Diana that the grinch is not nice because of his small heart...
Posing for Daddy who missed the whole "grinch" night we had here at home...

THANKSGIVING 2010...

Yes, our blog has been extremely neglected. We are getting excited to watch the Super Bowl today and I am just blogging about Thanksgiving!

My cousin Alexandra spent a lot of time playing with Davis & Diana on Thanksgiving. They LOVE her so much! I wish she lived closer - can you say great babysitter!!!
Davis had free reign of Aunt Jackie's basement to play and draw pictures...
Thanksgiving weekend at my Grandma's house - all the little ones watching the "kid tv". I remember all the kids being so well behaved this day. It was a great time...
Diana modeling an early Christmas gift from her great-grandma. I think these gloves will fit her for years to come. Diana thought they were very princess-like.
Davis enjoying the caramels Aunt Donna makes every year - very tasty...
