BUBBLES!!

I was literally on the phone yesterday for less than 2 minutes. Davis said he was going to wash his hands I said ok and thought nothing when I heard the water running. I get off the phone and hear the loudest giggling ever from my two little angels. I go in the bathroom and this is what I see - OVERFLOWING WATER & BUBBLES everywhere. I could have started cleaning up & put the kids in timeout but I opted to grab my camera and let them play awhile. (Bets are this will happen again since it was so fun so I'll have to be on the lookout) One of my photos didn't have the flash on but Diana's expression is so cute so I edited it so you could see it - the color is kind of cool looking. I think it's time to buy a water table daddy!!! And oh yeah this was not fun to clean -  I had to empty all the drawers and underneath the sink...water everywhere!!!  Diana didn't fall down once though - maybe she'll be a surfer (lol)

Friday night with the Neumann's

We had dinner Friday night with MIchael's Managing Partner and his family. Mark has 5 daughters and two of their cousins were there also so we had some free babysitters. Davis played the drums, Diana played with more horses than she's ever seen in one place, and the kids went on a walk to see some ducks and their new babies. We watching Facing the Giants (great movie) and enjoyed a great dinner. Thanks to the Neumann's and their very helpful and sweet girls!!

Spiderman lost at the zoo...

Thank goodness for the zoo pass. The zoo is a fun place to hang out in the summer regardless of your age. Here is Davis cooling off in one of the sprinklers. The significance of this photo is that it is the last photo we have of BOTH of Davis' beloved Spiderman sandals. One of his sandals got lost at the zoo. Of course I went to buy him a replacement pair and they are out of his size. RIP blue spiderman sandal maybe you'll wind up in lost and found....we really do miss you. We hear about you everytime we try to go outside. We are keeping your brother here in case we find you someday.

Davis' First Brewer Game

Davis & Daddy went to a Brewer game last week. Davis wore his Prince Fielder shirt that his godmother Crystal gave him. He was very excited to go somewhere just him and Daddy. Davis got to tailgate with some of Daddy's co-workers. I believe he even got to eat a steak!!!

Miss Diana was a little upset that she didn't get to go but felt better after she got her picture with the guys. I sent the camera with Michael to the stadium but he was really watching Mr. Davis and couldn't get the big camera out. Davis is yelling "come on Mommy let's go game" in this photo. He had no patience for me trying to take his picture. I'm glad I got it now. Look at beautiful Diana with her Daddy - she bawled when he left : -(

Day at the Musuem

We went to the Milwaukee Public Museum last week with Miss Tasha, Miss MIchele, Miss Shirley, Mya & Xavier. Davis & Diana were both excited to see Mya. Mya was giving Diana lots of hugs. The big hits of the day were of course the dinosaurs and the butterfly room. Miss Michele held the butterflies so Davis could look at them. After the museum we went down by the lake for some ice cream. Thanks for a fun day ladies!! (If you look closely in the fourth photo you can see Miss Tasha's reflection in the mirror - you can't miss that smile : -) Did I mention Davis was doing some sort of tribal dance when we were listening to music from other countries. I wish I would have had my video camera!!

OUR MINI GETAWAY

Michael and I went on a two day vacation to Bayfield, WI this past weekend for a wedding of one of my good friends. We did a lot of photography and videography but did manage to get one picture of the two of us. We took it ourself (hehe) There are more photos below of the wedding. Thank you to Grammy and Bumpa for making the trip to our house to watch our little angels while we were gone :-)

HEATHER & JAY'S WEDDING

My friend Heather got married this past weekend in Bayfield, WI. Michael and I made the 7 hour trip to do the wedding videography and of course we couldn't help but take some photos too. We took an additional 400 photos of what was a very perfect and beautiful day. Everything from the weather to the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. This wedding was very special to me as I was with Heather 4 years ago when she met Jay outside of the lady's room at Manpower of all places (you never know where you will meet that special someone!!! ) I am excited to put together Heather's wedding DVD. Thank you so much to Heather & Jay for including us in your special day!!

PARADE WAVE

We went to the Canoe Festival Parade back where Mommy grew up. Miss Diana was waving at everyone and yelling "hi" everywhere she went. Funny thing is she really didn't know anybody. She is a sweetie!

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!

MAGIC DUST

The kids and I recently watched the Fairy movie with Tinker Bell. Diana loves to play/watch whatever her brother wants to but I thought we should let her choose a movie rather than always watching "boy" things. A few days later I am greeted by this - my son dressed in one of Diana's princess dresses throwing baby powder all over the place. He informed me not to worry he was "doing magic". I'm sure Daddy would have been more worried about the dress than the "magic". Despite the terrible mess it was very cute. Davis hasn't worn the princess dress since :-)

YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Michael has mentioned to me that his dad always sang "You are so Beautiful to Me" so I surprised him by teaching Davis how to sing it. This is him one day practicing in the bathroom. He was still getting hung up on the word "hoped" so he just pauses and skips it. You can hear Diana in the background trying to help him out when he gets stuck.

1 year anniversary of SAHM

So, my 1 year anniversay of being a Stay at home Mom is quickly approaching. I was cleaning out some photos on the computer and ran into these "silly" photos the kids and I took on the computer last summer. I forgot I had them and doubt anyone including my husband has ever seen them. I actually took these photos the first day that I was officially not working anymore (not at the office or at home) to mark the day that the three of us started our new and different journey together. Diana is so cute and chunky in these photos but doesn't seem like she's used to me and Davis and how goofy we are all the time. These probably aren't the best photos we have but they mean the most to me. Thanks Davis & Diana for lots of fun adventures over the past year. Love, Mommy

Spending the day with GARRISON!!

Davis' best friend Garrison spent two days with us and we were so happy to see him. We hadn't seen Garrison in a long time so it was nice to spend some time with him.  Davis even wanted to put a sweater on so he could match his buddy.  Diana loved  the attention she got from both boys.  Davis & Garrison took a nap together, helped me make lunch (watching the chicken nuggets while they were cooking) and even washed their hands together.  Davis and Diana had a blast with Garrison.
