BABY GIRL IS ALMOST TWO!!!

Diana will be two in just two more weeks. We have been talking to her about her birthday party and she continues to get very excited. Davis has taught her how to sing Happy Birthday and she is already telling people she is two. I have thousands of photos of Diana so it was hard to choose a few to post. The photo at the top of the blog is one I took here at home when she was 10 weeks old. I know everyone says it - but I simply cannot believe how fast she has grown up. I love the photos of her and Davis - he has adored her since the beginning - he was still a baby himself when Diana came along :-)

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Davis got to stay up and watch the Saints - Vikings game last night with Daddy. He was very excited about this. He is trying to show his tough face in the second photo. He was cheering for the Vikings.

AYANNA'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Miss Ayanna's party was the second one we attended on Saturday. It was a busy day. It is hard to believe Ayanna is 5! When I first met her she was almost 2. Davis & Diana had fun dancing and playing musical chairs at Ayanna's party. They were happy to see all the kids from Miss Tasha's house. It always amazes me that no matter how much time passes all the little ones remember eachother - they were all so excited to play together.

As usual, Davis likes to help blow the candle out LOL!! Diana is down in the bottom right corner enjoying her sucker. She was loving all the sugar - she just couldn't stop smiling.

LEAH'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Davis & Diana's friend Leah turned 4 over the weekend. She had a rollerskating party so the kids got to try something new. Both of them did pretty well ( I think the ice-skating helped). Davis was very protective of Diana and didn't want Daddy helping her skate. He wanted to be the one to help her which was quite funny considering he could barely stand up himself. I am proud of both of them for giving it a try - they are consistently willing to try new things even though it may be a little scary. I told Davis before the party that he needed to have good manners (we have really been working on this lately). When Leah's grandmother offered him some pop his response was "no thank you, soda is for adults - I'll have apple juice please". Davis you are too funny!

GENERATIONS AT PLAY

We went to an indoor play area last week with Michelle and Brooklyn. There is so much for the kids to do there and they even have a cafe for us Moms. It was a much needed change of scenery. The little ones kept themselves busy playing for nearly 4 hours. I would highly recommend going here with toddlers and pre-schoolers - they even have potty chairs in the restrooms.

Please excuse the "W" sitting in this photo. Davis tends to do this when he's really concentrating on something. He can also sit "criss-cross" applesauce if reminded so his ped says not to worry. I hate to have to write this on here but when you are a Mom you are used to people giving you unwanted advice. Here's Davis getting ready to spell some words for Michelle...

ALL ABOUT BABIES

We had so much fun this past weekend and unfortunately I didn't bring my camera for any of it. I faithfully take my camera everywhere and thought I deserved the break. Now I know better as I wish I had taken it with me. Anyway, Friday night we had a sleepover at a friends house. We ordered pizza, the kids played, Michael put all three kids to bed (he is what I call the bedtime whisperer LOL) and then us adults were able to enjoy some wine and conversation. Saturday we got some things done at home and all took a family nap. Michael and I were able to go out for dinner and a movie thanks to an offer from Tasha & family to babysit. Sunday we went for round 3 of ice skating and I was able to skate too. It's been awhile so I was proud when I didn't fall. Davis skated a little bit on his own this time. It is fun to see him improve each time we go. On to this week....the big thing at our home has been taking care of all the "babies". Davis and Diana love to take care of all the dolls - feeding them, changing them, playing with them, talking to them, and giving them lots of love. Here are some cute photos of the little Mommy & Daddy with their precious babies.....

DIANA'S FIRST TIME ICE-SKATING

A few days after Davis went skating, Michael decided to take them again so he could get some more practice. Diana decided on the second trip to the rink that she would like to try too. Keep in mind she is still only one (almost two) so Mommy was a little bit worried about her. She ended up doing better than Davis did the first time around! She walked really well and cried everytime Michael took her off the ice. Liz and Kya came along too.

Ok, I can walk in these no problem...

DAVIS' FIRST TIME ICE-SKATING

We took Davis ice-skating for the first time last week. CJ, Mike, Ken, Charlene, and Laila came along. It was the first time Davis was really scared to try something new but after awhile he got the hang of it. He still has a ways to go before he's skating on his own but I'm so proud of him for trying. Way to go Davis!!

Davis met this boy named Dylan who was helping him skate. Davis has been saying ever since that he needs a brother named Dylan!!

DADDY DAYCARE

Diana enjoyed some naptime with her Daddy over "Christmas break". It was nice to have Michael home for a few days. I ended up getting the stomach flu on New Years Eve day so Michael had a full two days of taking care of the kids on his own. I think he did a great job; although, I was secretly happy that he was quite exhausted by the end of the day :-) Thanks for being a great Dad Michael - including all the fun bathroom stuff that goes on around here. Michael said to me after the second day "do you know how many buts I helped wipe today?". I laughed so hard because he sounded like me!!!
