HIDE AND SEEK....7/27/10

Oh, how I love to watch these two play together. We were at the park when another brother/sister "team" asked the kids to play hide and seek. I grabbed the camera as I observed Davis leading Diana to the "best hiding spot" under the picnic table. Needless to say they were spotted pretty quickly.

Candid photos are my favorite. Davis has the "I think they see us face!" while Diana has the "oh no they are gonna get us face!"
We've been spotted!!!

RUNNING WITH MARQUES....7/24/10

Daddy, Davis & Diana spent the afternoon with Marques at the track. Davis was excited to come home and show me his video.

MILWAUKEE FLOOD - JULY 22, 2010

Towards the end of July we had tons of tornado warnings, rain, and a FLOOD. Of course with my luck Janelle, the kids and I were driving in the Bayshore/Glendale area when the rain hit and in a matter of minutes we were not able to drive any further and had to stay at a hotel with Miss Tasha's family. Luckily, they were staying right near where we were driving and were kind enough to let us stay for the night.

Here are two videos from Michael's phone on his drive home from work. These are pretty mild considering some places had several FEET of water and the roads were closed.

While Michael tried to navigate his way home we were here... (look how tired my kids are). Janelle was a real trooper and helped me out so much. We love you Janelle!!

17 DAYS...

until Pre-School starts! Davis is getting very excited and so are we. We took him to Barnes & Noble over the weekend so he could pick out some big boy books about going to school. The kids were excited to show Daddy where they go for storytime too. I took a quick picture outside the store with my phone - Davis was so proud to have his new books. I am sure we will be reading them a lot over the next few weeks.

PLAYDATE...7/19/10

The kids were excited to see Alaina; this was her first time at Generations at Play.

Miss Suzy was kind enough to let Davis join in on summer camp even though it wasn't his regular day. He loved the marble tower...

A RELAXING WEEKEND AT GRAMMY AND BUMPA'S....7/17/10

The kids love to pack their things and go to Grammy and Bumpa's house. All four of us enjoyed a relaxing weekend there playing outside and lounging on the deck. It was just the kind of weekend Mommy and Daddy needed. Grammy let us sleep in and made us breakfast!

DAVIS AND FARMER JOEY

While visiting my parents Davis spotted an antique tractor parked in the street at our neighbors. I think Farmer Joey had the tractor at the fair over the weekend. He of course ran over to check things out and Joey was kind enough to not only let Davis sit on the tractor but also let him start it up!

VIDEOS FOR DADDY...7/15/10

I am loving my new phone as I am able to easily upload and e-mail video which worked out awesome while Michael was gone for work. The kids were so proud of the videos they made for their dad the night before he came home.

I let Davis bring his big wheel to the park so he could ride on the trail. He was excited to see some left over rain water.

Miss Diana left her tricycle behind and decided it would impress her Dad if she walked through the water instead. I love her little voice.

QUESTIONS OF SUMMER

Summer is such a great time. There's lots to do and I of course have been slacking on my blog - there's just too much fun to be had and messes to clean up. We have been spending lots of time at the Sprayground this summer.

Davis is about to ask me a question in this photo. His questions are very thoughtful and he asks about 500 per day. Based on all of my combined answers of why it rains/storms Davis has the weather all figured out. He told me that Jesus and God mix the pressures in the sky with their hands, the clouds get full with water, the trees get thirsty and the grass dries up so it starts to rain. Apparently, these are all the different answers Mommy has given him over the past few weeks combined together. Here is Davis's "about to ask an important question face" as Diana looks on in amazement at how intelligent her brother is....

We bought Diana a bikini while her Dad was out of town for work training. He saw the photos and said she looked cute but she wasn't going to wear it anymore (LOL). We convinced him otherwise!
