SANTA STOPPED BY!

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Grammy, Bumpa, and Gwen came to eat dinner with us and the kids made cookies for Santa in their Christmas doggy and kitty pj's. Davis had the idea that eating the dough raw would be a good idea so of course Diana followed his lead. Could this be why Davis didn't feel well on Christmas morning? They were not happy when we took the cookie dough away. They quickly forgot about it though after they got to watch "Santa's" cookies baking in the oven.

CRYSTAL'S 29TH BIRTHDAY

My best friend Crystal's birthday is the week before Christmas. Each year Michael and I go out to celebrate with her and it is such a good time. It is rare that you catch Michael and I out at a bar - but you know we will never miss Crystal's birthday. Here's to you finding a good man before 30 Crystal! I love you!!

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA AT THE PFISTER

The holidays have been so fun with Davis & Diana this year. They both understand what we are celebrating (Jesus' birth) and even little Diana understands that Santa brings lots of exciting new toys to play with. We went to Breakfast with Santa the weekend before Christmas and it was quite the memorable experience. The Boldens were kind enough to invite us along and we are so thankful. It was one of my best memories this year with the kids.

Diana helping Mommy get ready to see Santa.

Davis did not want to take photos in the lobby. He wanted to go upstairs to where Santa was. Here is Mr. Grumpy LOL!

Arts and crafts time with one of Santa's helpers. Davis and Diana made ornaments to take home.

PFISTER PART 2

Davis, Diana, & Madison trying to eat like little ladies and gentlemen.

Davis "pretending" to drink coffee like Mommy.

Santa makes his arrival. Everyone is excited. Davis & Diana were yelling and waving to him.

Diana running towards Santa.

Davis leading Madison up to Santa. What a sweet boy.

PFISTER PART 3

The girls checking out the beautiful Christmas tree.

Santa giving Davis a "thumbs up" as he is charging his lap.

Davis is asking for a flashlight. Diana with some prompting asked for a baby.

Oh Santa we just love you. We are so happy.

Madison and Diana with Santa. Please notice that Davis is a mess by this point. Crooked tie, shirt untucked, pants bunched up, and shoe untied. I think this is so funny. Davis really got excited to see Santa.

PFISTER PART 4

Each of the kids got a gift from Mrs. Claus. Here is Madison getting her gift. Love this picture!

Let's see what we got. Davis was excited to get a Christmas beanie bear. Diana on the other hand looked at her beanie reindeer and said "mommy, not a baby!". I think she was confused - she had just asked for a baby and got a reindeer!

Santa's elf painting Davis' hand.

Diana's turn - she sat so still I was so proud of her.

READY FOR A BIG GIRL BED

Diana is ready for a big girl bed! She climbed out of her crib back in October but for the most part she generally stays in her crib. The other day I checked on her during naptime and she wasn't in her crib. I then look in Davis' bed and this is what I find. My big girl Diana climbed out of her crib and snuggled into her brother's bed :-)

CHRISTMAS CARD

Funny to compare last year's card to this year's. Everyone says it - they simply grow up too fast. I will say right now the days have been fun, long, and challenging but looking back I wish I could keep them little longer.

FINGER PAINTING

One of our projects last week was finger painting. Davis is very serious about his artwork while Diana is silly and just loves to make a mess. Davis was very proud when he was done. He made so many projects last week with paint, chalk, markers, crayons, and pencils I ran out of places to put them all. He is very into his "projects" right now. We try to have Davis and Mommy project time when Diana takes a nap since Davis is no longer taking a nap most days. Oh I miss the days when he did - I never should have taken that for granted.

CANDY CANE LANE

We drove through Candy Cane Lane to see all the lights. We were very suprised when Santa himself walked up to our car and greeted the kids through the window. Both of them thought we were driving through Santa's actual neighborhood in the North Pole. Davis kept saying "Mommy these lights are just amazing - I can't believe it!!". Diana simply wanted to keep driving past Santa :-)

FOUR FRIENDS!

Last weekend the kids each had a friend over. Garrison & Madison spent a good part of the day here doing lots of fun and exciting things including making Michael very tired after countless rides around the house. Davis and Garrison made a "best friends" poster with paint and letter stickers and Miss Diana snuggled by Madison when she fell asleep on the couch. These four are just too cute.
